Book comes closest. Note the closed 4, where it's open on Herald Elite.
The overall letterform seems closest to Herald Elite...but the 4 throws me. It's probably neither of the two, some unknown typeface that they used before 1964.
great machine... esp with the wide carriage...
This was the one of that batch I vaguely coveted, though I have no room for such a beast. Nice to see it still pluggin' away!
I believe that is the first time I've seen a typewriter clear its throat.
