busy weekend

Typed on the Swissa
In case you haven't heard of it, this is the show we're seeing taped for radio.  We've been twice before, it's always entertaining.

The Radio Club of Tacoma (est. 1916) is here.

We're seeing a live local "Music Man" production.  In the classic film version, there is an Oliver in the library, prominently displayed on the counter.

Camera Talk

See if you can tell where I switched from the Underwood 19 to the All-new Remington Portable.

The artist (in the dress) and the dignitary du jour, and...

the artwork.

Formerly a useful gauge.  Never see din anymore.

One more item to bring it back to typewriters.  Yesterday I went thrifting and found only one decent machine, which I would have bought for someone else but I don't need in my stable.

Hard to see, but this has the matching platen color.  It was at Vinnie's yesterday.

bikecasts (yes, plural)

Friday's typecast from a park in Kent, which I will repost when I finish it:

Saturday:

turn point - Zina Linnik Park

Free (donated) ice cream after the ride!

short typecast but with a link

A Logic Named Joe

I haven't set that up to embed.  A search brings up not only several sound and video options for hearing it, but some great discussions of the story and the issues surrounding it.

Here are pics of the typewriters used today:

Triumph of the ...Norm?

The purchase post is at this link.  I worked out the platen issue, the left rear lever was bent a little.  Now it works just fine.
That's Nora, one of my late mother's cats.  She's a grouch to all the others here.
