new addition

There will be a typecast tomorrow.  For now, I'm wondering about the year, given the model 5 and SN 810544 /5.
Thanks to my yard-saling friend for finding this and texting me.

friday bikecast with a guest

She did eventually decide to try it out.  she hit a couple of y's and then typed her name.  She told us she will be 7 in October and will get a bigger bike.  She was a very chatty kid and quite cute keeping us company.

From Bulgaria in metal

pretty nice case

that blob to the right is a magnet holding on that nameplate until I can get the right kind of glue.
I remembered Robert's excellent treatment of the Bulgarian lines, and this is definitely a rebadged Maritsa (which I mistyped above).  Looks like a match for the Maritsa 11.  I gave away my 1300F, so I didn't have those spools to raid for this.  Time to go through the box upstairs.

Quiet is relative

A quiet typewriter and a noisy pc keyboard, meeting in te m
On my way home (to return later), I stopped by my main Goodwill and at the bins. The bins were a bust, but the main goodwill had a space saver Model M from 1987.  I intend to sell it, as I like the number pad that it lacks.
obviously the space saver is the upper one...

It had no cable, but my other one fit it.  Should I sell it without, telling the buyer to find a cord online?  Or should I find one myself and increase the reserve?  I've never sold on ebay so I'll take advice.
