bin survey

The bins were full of electrics this Saturday, but the trickle of mid-century Underwoods also continued.
Let's have a look-see:

upside-down, as I often find them

not bad only a couple of sticky keys

after this I went to the regular goodwill store, and they had an interesting-looking Adler case

So why did it have a Smith-Corona electric inside?

disjointed typecast

My wife found this set below that belonged to her great aunt.  The long one is a mechanical pencil but I can't figure out the short one.  I think they are to be connected by a chain, but what then I don't know.
interesting set, anyway.

Script Frenzy? I guess that name is taken

Cursives, foiled again!   When I picked up my third script typer in as many weeks, I decided to do a roller call of all of them.  Enjoy!   I made several typos for your added amusement.  The Olivetti and Hermes typefaces look nearly the same to me except for spacing.

left on the shelf

I had a bunch of pictures from the week in shopping left on the phone, so it's time to share them.
this caught my eye - I had never seen a transparent plastic wedge before

I tend to take pics of electrics that are NOT wedges.  Here's a Royal

this Royal adder was next to the safari - adder, safari?  If it was a snake it would've bitten me!

couldn't get a non-reflective angle on these two.  The antique store wanted $265 for the Oliver and $69 for the Remington

Just saw this today, it fits in with the discussion elsewhere.  I would  enjoy playing with these but i don't need the heartache when they fail or I can't get parts, etc.
