Cursives, foiled again! When I picked up my third script typer in as many weeks, I decided to do a roller call of all of them. Enjoy! I made several typos for your added amusement. The Olivetti and Hermes typefaces look nearly the same to me except for spacing.

Neat comparison! Looks like your Royal has the unusual "Spencerian Script" typeface that Georg Sommeregger turned into a font.
ReplyDeleteYes, Adwoa was very excited about the Spencerian.
ReplyDeleteI still am!!! Although I think I might like the SCM Galaxie's script just a teensy bit more. I can't get over how lucky you are, finding so many script typers in the wild!
ReplyDeleteA Zephyr in script?!? Fortunate indeed. My fave is the Galaxie script, though, mostly for different-ness, I guess. But also because it makes me sit up straighter.
ReplyDeleteNice typewriters! Wish I was fortunate enough to get a script typer...you've had good luck!
ReplyDeleteEspecially with that Lettera 32!
These are all great, but I do like the SCM Galaxie's unique look the best.
ReplyDeleteI agree about the Galaxie's script. I've never seen anything like it in my life before.
ReplyDeleteSuddenly I feel as if I should go to thrift stores--I've skipped them for a couple weeks. D:
How fun! If I had a few more script typers, I'd do this too.
ReplyDeleteI have - somewhere - a similar record of the standard pica and elite typefaces represented in my collection. Nothing as awesome as that Galaxie typeface, though.
