Yay Olivetti!
ReplyDeleteYou have 2 studio 44s???
ReplyDeleteive been considering getting one of those but i will continue to resist!
I hope you do go back to that store and both typers...get that Triumph at the very least!
I have always had a problem with the carriage return lever on Olivetti machines. They have a feel that I cannot get used to. The look cool, though.
ReplyDeleteFor a small type face that of the Lettera 22 looks nice.
ReplyDeleteI have three - the script one hasn't been returned by the teacher yet. Why would you resist one? It's tempting to bring you one next month.
ReplyDeletePeter, I was going to ask Michael the same thing. Studio 44 is the wrong machine to resist. ( :
ReplyDeleteIn the beginning, i saw the studio 44 and was aghast at its peculiar styling. It sure was different.
ReplyDeleteThe body slowly started to charm me and nearly everyone unanimously praises its feel.
I still resist mostly due to space issues :)
and recently the wife has mentioned that while she is happy i have found a healthy hobby, i might be going overboard.
I think it has to do with a particularly expensive acquisition a few days ago that i had been working on for a few weeks.
