    It looks like Herald Elite, rather than Book. ( http://munk.org/typecast/2011/04/24/1964-nomda-blue-book-royal-font-styles/ )

    Nice paper find!

      Book comes closest. Note the closed 4, where it's open on Herald Elite.

      The overall letterform seems closest to Herald Elite...but the 4 throws me. It's probably neither of the two, some unknown typeface that they used before 1964.
