collecting smaller objects

  1. Heh, I've been picking up slide rules too, as part of my "paper calculator" collection. I have a few flight navigation tools too, although I have no idea how to work them. Perhaps I should do a "Slide Rule of The Week" feature. :D

    1. They are hard to come by here, strangely, You'd think old Boeing engineers would leave them behind but they don't show up in the thrifts at all. Remember how excited I was to find one down there.

  3. Dave has a slide rule blog that's dormant, but it has a bunch of good links on it. I have to say it's interesting the number of folks who like both typewriters and slide rules!

  4. These two do look complex! Have a few also, including a small 'pocket-sized' rule. They're all System Rietz and fairly recent, reasonably straightforward. Have actually been keeping an eye out for a nice older, wooden slide rule; but none won so far.
There definitely is a theme around tw's and other 'analog' technology (logarithmic technology even, in this case ;-)
