The font on your Hermes 3000 is so ultra modern! I'm not familiar with SCMs, but I wonder if there's bend in the sawtoothed strip which engages with your escapement wheel? Judicious downward pressure might help it engage more consistently or there might be an adjustment screw at each end to lower it?
