Amazing story! Can you imagine the turn of events that brought you two together? The strings of coincidence are knotted strangely.
ReplyDeleteWhoa, that is really a great story! And a neat recording as well. Thanks for sharing with us!
ReplyDeleteWonderful story and turn of events. I believe you made his day and even more. Those recordings are not only a rare find, but a very cherished one if they get back to the artist.
ReplyDeleteFantastic - using technology to bring old technology, memories, and personal history together. I think you did a very good thing for that man. Technology is good if it connects people genuinely.
ReplyDeleteAmazing. Great idea to share a disk - listening as I write :-) They must be a revelation to the older man.

The tone quality of this piano actually resembles the old pianofortes developed not long after Bach's time. It lends an aura of authenticity to this music.
Thank you so much for sharing this.
How cool. You did a very good deed!

ReplyDeleteImagine his excitement to hear from someone afar who had his old recordings and was so kind as to return it to him after all these years?
ReplyDeleteYou're a scholar and a gentleman. Brownie points for you, Sir.
