Rain forest trip

This is what a forest is supposed to look like - dark, with a dense understory.

  1. Wonderful looking place. It is now added to my "I want to visit these places" list. You are so lucky to live where you do. Florida is generally boring.

The letter boxes are cool. I have never seen one out and about; at least on the trails I traversed in Pennsylvania, New York, and Virginia. I mostly hiked and camped on the A-trail,, but I did hit many others as well as state parks and my favorite place on the East Coast: Acadia National Park.

Maybe there were boxes there and I just never noticed because I did not know about them or looked for them.

  2. Even though I do not like it outdoors, the idea of camping appeals to me. I realize this is hiking, not camping, but the last time I was camping we also went hiking on the Appalachian Trail...so there you go.
