script typers - Olympia SM9 and family.

  1. I really like that Olympia script. It has long been on my wish list along with an SM-9. I always get the 9 and 8 mixed-up. I think the SM-8 is the same as the SM-9 without a tabulator. All I have is an SM-7 I really enjoy.

  2. Nice herd of Olympias (:

I like my SM9, but I really think the SM7 looks pretty cool. I've always liked the styling.

  3. That is a very nice Olympia collection. Thanks for doing the typeface comparison. I also have a script face SM-9 that needs some exercise. The Torpedo 18 gets all the script love, but the Olympia is fast and smooth and deserves some, too.

  4. I've always loved Olympias and that script is nice! Still prefer the script on my Olivetti Studio 44 but this one is pretty too. Thanks for sharing!

  6. I enjoyed reading this post very much. Interesting varieties within this model line. My source here says that the SM8 has the tab stops on the back of the carriage, the SM9 tab-setting keys next to the space bar, plus a lever to regulate key pressure resistance.
