I went to a fabulous concert that had been postponed from the snow week. Music from the court of Louis XIV, played on baroque flute, viola da gamba, pardessus de viole, and baroque guitar, by first-rate musicians. I can't convey the beauty of the music but I will say, for those in the area, that it was only the first in a series. The lineup follows the program and my crude renderings of the strings. The guitarist will be playing lute and theorbo next week. I'm looking at you, Little Flower Petals - you might be interested in seeing that.
Sounds very interesting! Thanks for posting about it.
ReplyDeleteI dunno about driving up to Tacoma on a weeknight, and Wednesdays are my music night...but the April 17th performance in particular sounds interesting. Hm...will have to think about it.
