I like the dropped "a"... adds character.
ReplyDeleteAs far as I know it would require carefully bending the typebar or slug slightly. That could get tricky, though, and heat may be required. I would guess Richard Polt or Tom Furrier would have a more definite answer.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure bending is the only way. I had a "t" on an SC Silent that was misaligned and slight and careful bending was the only way to get it back looking right.
ReplyDeleteI have a Brother Deluxe 220, and believe it or not, it's got the misaligned a key problem as well!

I gave this one to my niece, who liked that it was from Japan in the 1960's
