I still peruse eBay for TRS 80s, mainly the Model 100 (which is a primitive laptop). I am quite impressed. For a dollar, I'd be hard-pressed not to bring it home, even if I didn't know what it was.
Heh, I used my Tandy 200 during Nano last November. Can't beat an instant-on writing machine that lives for a week or more of periodic use on 4 AA batteries.
I also have my TRS-80 Model 4P, still functional in my storeroom. It's the even older whitescreen model, with a pair of 170kb drives. I can't say I have any use for it now that I converted the BASIC program it was running for the past 10 years to Javascript (an ink-mixing program for printing inks). Anyone want to trade me a typewriter for it? :D

ReplyDeleteThat's an adding machine, yes?

Frogger!
ReplyDeleteThey wanted $200 for the TRS-80. And I had the same reaction to Frogger!
