There she is! Very nice Hermes Rocket. I don't know which name I like more, Rocket or Baby. I really like Rocket because I find it more evocative of that era... but also it's the label they used overseas, so there were only Babys sold in Switzerland and I'll probably never find a Rocket.
ReplyDeleteGood find all the same - elite typeface, I suppose? Pity the case is absent, but it's small enough to fit in a variety of non-typewriter bags as well, I think.
Nice pick up on the Super Sterling. I love these SCM's from the 1950's and 60's. They are work horses. Extremely dependable and easy to type on.
ReplyDeleteMy owner's manual for the 3000 advertises the "Baby Rocket" to further confuse the issue. Elite typeface, good machine. The Super Sterling is yet another SCM with incorrect ribbon reels in it, another order for Jay.
