  1. I still insist that this is a great looking machine. Tell us how it goes after a long session of writing.

    1. Duh ... I mistook the 1/ for a √ because I didn't enlarge the image.

  3. So which number do I use? The Db doesn't give the 7- prefix.

  4. Use the number on the carriage rail. I would not woory about the 7.....

  5. A nice example of probably the best standard typewriter of all time. The colour is good, please don't be tempted to paint it another colour. There are some nice alternative type fitted like the Degree and the Date symbols..
hey are very easy to clean. You can just lift of the carriage assembly by undoing the locking switches underneath the carriage ends. The carriage lifts up and you have the whole of the insides to look. If you have any questions I will try to help.

  6. No apologies necessary or expected: I'm glad it got a good home. Washington is juuuust far enough away that I'd worry about shipment. If it were one of the local GWs (like that Arabic Olympia) I would have tossed in a bid, but I know the risks of shipping machines.

(I say this because it's an elite machine. If it were pica or using a robo-font, I'd be in tears.)

    1. That works, as I prefer elite! I was very concerned about shipping as well, and glad I didn't have to risk it. Thanks for the comment, it's a relief.
